Shape Someone's Life Story

Meagan Sill

“It was the best experience I have had in my career this far!”
— Meagan Sill, starring as Musetta in IU Opera's La Boheme

No matter how you give or what cause you support—scholarships, research or other programs—you will pass along life-changing benefits to others like you.

That's why Dr. Monroe Gilbert established the Sarah Joan Tuccelli-Gilbert Memorial Fellowship in Voice. Dr. Gilbert wanted to honor his wife, who performed the works of Puccini throughout her career and earned her doctorate from IU. Now, students who couldn't otherwise afford tuition will follow in Sarah's footsteps.

It's easy to make a legacy gift that will change someone's life forever:

  • Give appreciated stocks or securities, and reduce your taxes on income and capital gains
  • Make a deferred gift in your will and receive an estate tax deduction
  • Gift your house to IU, and live in it for the rest of your life
  • Establish a charitable gift annuity and secure a fixed income for life
